Driving my daughter to school this morning, up the beach road in Sandymount, there was the most amazing sunrise. Coming up over South County Dublin (I assume it's Killiney/Dalkey/Bray Head) was a huge pink disc, reflecting off a very calm sea. It only lasted about 5 minutes and it's definitely something I'll be going after at the weekend if the weather stays so cold.

So, anyone manahe to get it? Baz?

It was an amazing sunrise but I was driving to work without my camera so missed it. The sunrises during the week have been great lately but come the weekend, it all changes.

funny thing is I bought a Canon Powershot G9 last week to carry around with me for this kind of situation, but I left it at home :o

I see the weekend weather forecast is for rain on Saturday and not much better on Sunday. Doh!

I was out and about early (for me) this morning, and there was a beautiful red glow on the horizon long before the sunrise. By the time I got home from dropping my daughter to the train station the fog had rolled in.........

I am up every morning at 630 but by the time I get to work I've usually missed the best of it. As usual, the one time I was there for the most amazing sunrise I didn't have the camera

This shot is out the car window.

If my locker in work was big enough to hold my camera bag I'd have it with me the whole time but gutted at missing a couple of nice sunrises and sunsets this week.

No but it was cold this morning -- got up early to see my first sunrise (i think)-- it was spectacular -- as you said only lasted a couple of minutes -- i must get the 18 - 200 zoom , as i've only primes , this was taken with my Panasonic
