    Hey Guys,

How hard can it be to get a pop group together, hold auditions, pick the best singers, organise the group, rehearse and try for a record contract...or am i missing something???

Yes, quite a lot actually, let's start with guys who don't turn up for the auditions, out of the guys who seem decent enough having to sack and rehire guys for being retards/egos/unreliable (ie the ones who don't turn up to rehearsal), other small fueds that develop with other members, people going around with their nose out of joint because you want to play lead guitar on this one song, when you get a decent core nucleus of a band together trying to actually get a gig, unless you know other guys in a band you invariably start hiring your own venues and losing your shirt on the deal, after a while you will start to be noticed by promoters and you'll think you're going up in the world but actually (most of the time) you're been taken for a ride, "Can't pay you tonight, overheads.......", and searching for a record deal, which you're going to have to fund yourself AND pay the record company for the pleasure of selling your record when they are trying to offer you 2% royalties on the music you wrote!! And that's the tip of the iceberg, the tough part is finding good people, the 2nd hardest part is keeping then all interested, find good people to do your administration for you, cause unless your a shrewd business person they will see you coming
