depends what im shooting at if i was shooting crows i usually use a 34 gr 5
i find if you stick with the same cartridge for a while u get used to its ranges

for game i always used a 32 gr 5, 6 or 7 depending on the areas i was shooting when i know roughly the distance the birds would be comming in at

    for pigeons i used use a 30 gr 6/12

    foxes AAA

Fiocchi or RC 32 gram 6's. Find them a lovely allrounder cartridges. Occasionally I'd be using 4's or 5's if I'm after a hare or a duck for the extra bit of range and punch.

They are classified as game and have a season september to january ?, not sure of exact dates. I don't shoot them as they have enough people around me after them. They have to be shot with shotgun as they are deemed game - not allowed to use rifles

Hares can be shot with shotgun, not rifle, in season.
