Note of caution to Ebay/Paypal sellers

    Kind of a long one,sorry.
Joined e-bay a while back, sold a good few(10-15) items in the last four weeks.
Around 50 % of payments from paypal, others were through cash on collection.
Last two payments hit the paypal account so I transfered to the bank account.

Next day, the money is back in Paypal account, and my account is restricted for security purposes!!
They wanted proof of invoices (from my supplier), proof that I have the inventory and proof of delivery of the items to my customers.
Well, 4 phone calls and eight days later trying to explain the items were bought in a shop,
receipts were sent with the item (Warranty) and not all of them were posted.

I am now at a stage where I had to ask a customer to send an e-mail to paypal confirming they had received the item.
I'm all for security, but think this is bit OTT.
Certainly wont be using them again.

While I suppose it is a pain in the behind, I think it's good to see eBay checking out sellers to make sure they have stock of what they sell, as some don't.

I presume you were flagged as you have sold so many items in a few weeks.

Paypal were checking though!Sorry if my post was confusing:o E-bay had no problem.
Two things that I am annoyed with is, week later and they still have my account blocked even after calling them four times each time 'everything is fine', and if I had any idea they would look for receipts etc, I would have taken copies.

Well it is the time of year for scamming sellers to really make a buck so you'd imagine it's only enevitable that you're being sussed out by PayPal, I'm sure many sellers are.

becasue PayPal is like a bnak (sort of) they are obligated to flag any account that starts receiving excessive payments in a small amount of time...

believe me... they do it for everyone's account.. even thier staff can get flagged.. once you send them the proof you should be back to usual
