Battlestar advise

    Im considering getting Battlestar Gallactica season 1 for someone as a Christmas present. What kind of show is it ? I have a vague idea and im pretty sure they will like it but Im not 100%. It seems to be quite a creative, serious sci-fi with lots of plot twists. Would that be a fair way of describing it ?

    The person Im buying it for loves Star Wars, Firefly, Bladerunner etc but wouldn't be mad about Stargate.

    Also, should I get the mini series to go along with the first season ?

    Go for it, but also try and get the mini series which is the start of whole thing

    I'd say they'll love it.

    You'll have their birthday and Christmas 2008 wrapped up too with seasons 2 & 3. :)

    The mini series is basically Ep1 of the whole thing. Its excellent and best if they see it before seeing S1.

    Yup, the Miniseries is like Part 1 of a 5 Part epic (Season 4 is the last season) if you get me.

    So its an absolute must.
