    read earlier, sad to here - but ryan has made some very poor calls in his life.

    i guess you could say he has made some bad choices but you never know whats being said about him were true or not. he was an amazing fighter and i think he represented the new generation of gracies very well.his private life seemed a bit bumpy from what i heard but its still very surprising to hear of his death

    Obviously I can't question a Doctor's medical actions being a non-medic myself but I certainly found it peculiar that someone like Ryan who was obviously under the influence of drugs was given further narcotics in an attempt to subdue him. Ryan should have put in holding cell over night and checked in on frequently. It's not necessary to tranquillise a guy that's locked away.

    It's obviously a completely different scenario but I remember the case of a diabetic guy about 5 years ago who's blood sugar levels went out of control and so did his actions, behaving like a drunk. He was seen by a doctor and thrown in a cell only to die later that night.

    Again I'd hope it wasn't a mistake on the Doctor's part to presume too much that resulted in Ryan's death.
