Hi, Could someone recommend filtering software (preferrably freeware :D) to stop kids accessing dodgy internet sites? ...

Netnanny is one of the biggest ones out there but is not free. Naomi is free, link here. There are options in Internet Explorer to restrict access to some websites too.

Putting the PC in the living room with the screen facing the room is an effective compliment to filtering software.

'Parental filter' is freeware and is easy to use.
