lost my bloody wii remote looking every where in my room but no sign what so ever wouldnt it be handy if you could press a button on the console and a noise will come from the remote

When you turn the Wii on and it says to press A does the Wiimote not make a noise?

Or do you have to press A and THEN it makes a noise..
