Alright guys i'm seriously considering upgrading the neck on my squire telecaster. It's already been upgraded with a vintage bigsby and some texas specials, but the only thing that's letting it down is that squire neck. I've had a look on the warmoth site and the choices there are endless, but i've been reading up on them and the quality of them seems to have gone down in the last couple of years, with numerous complaints of the glue binding the rosewood fingerboards to the neck decaying and causing problems. Has anyone had to buy new necks for your strat/telecasters? if so where did you get them and how much? Thanks in advance guys.
    Cheers,
    Alan,

Bought a Warmoth strat neck early this year. Great piece of equipment, supremely well put together and very comfortable. The thing to bear in mind is that it needs to be finished (fret level and dress, etc) when you get it.

However, if you just want to bolt something on, just do a search on ebay, you'll pick up a real Fender Telecaster neck very easily, if that's what you want.

Well, it means very little to me to have "Fender" splashed across it. Can i ask what strat neck you bought, i might end up buying a new strat neck as well?

This might sound like a stupid question, but presumably the necks on the warmoth site that say they've already been "finished" can just be bolted straight on?

Quartersawn maple with blank ebony fretboard, reversed 50's headstock. Can't remember fret size, 6105? Tall skinny ones anyway.

I did the fret level and dress myself, also had to roll the edge of the neck and frets a bit, but I'm quite happy to do that kind of thing. It would be quite expensive to pay someone to do it for you. I also left the neck unfinished, again it's €€€ to have it done.

I had something particular in mind, otherwise I would have just gotten a Fender neck off ebay, cheaper and easier.

Yeah, i might just go with the fender neck on ebay. I really just want something that i can just throw on as i have zero experience with finishing necks. Thanks for all your replies, that cleared things up a bit in my head
    Cheers,
