Well buying it for yourself it is over the limit, but if you're buying it as a gift for someone, make sure you add a gift message (its free), and the parcel will be marked as a gift.

Didn't mark it as a gift myself as customs barely heed that stuff anymore. They've more sense!

But i've ordered a couple of items from Amazon.com (all around the $30 - $40 mark and was never charged duty on it) but would never go over the $40 mark to be honest.

:eek:got hit with customs charge today, first one ever. the only thing is i wasn't around to pay it so am not sure which order i've been hit for. it could be one of 2 expensive ones from deepdiscount $92 and $66 the charge is €17.05 so a bit of a sickener but in the grand scheme of things i suppose i was likely to be caught at some stage.
