Im thinking about trying it,has anyone got information on suitable camera's and the software/tv/laptop setup!! the more i look into it the more complicated its getting.
i did find some on the radionics website but they're not cheap..im not even sure they're suitable. any info would be greatly appreciated

The first question I have is..why?....anyway...you can get colour reversing cameras on ebay that are about the diameter of a 2 euro coin for quite cheap that would do the trick.

It should be easy to get cheap cameras on ebay or in peats or maplins, these would be easier if it came with a video connector wired (single cable phono would be fine).
These would need to be connected to a recording device with 8 video tracks, something like device for recording CCTV cameras. All 8 fields are recorded to the one tape ot DVD.

    But, WHY WHY?
Who is going to watch it?
Unless you plan to go through your mates game and analysis it to crush them,
also if I was playing in your home game, I wouldn't bother lifting my cards to the camera everytime

I don't know anything about it but I think it would be a cool idea.

Interesting idea, might give some people the "OMG its like playing on the telly!!" feeling ;)

I am looking at something similar for someone at the mo, they want wee cameras on every table in a pool hall, so they can show individual games/shots on the plasmas. The cameras mentioned above will be fine, say 20 euro each, cabling them and displaying them is a bit more of an issue. check out www.cctvforum.com lots of tips there about casino cctv, A lot of which would apply here.
