I post on here a little so going unreg to ask this.

My girlfriend earns a lot more money than me and im starting to feel a small bit intimidated by it. It's a little pathetic i should even feel like this i think, but was just wondering what others were in this situation think, im not exactly on the breadline myself. I'm actually going to propose to this girl soon as im head over heels in love and she's an amazing person. But when discussing buying a house etc should a higher earner pay more? I will insist on everything being 50/50 anyway even if it means buying a less extravagent place. I was just wondering what people's feelings / previous experiences are. Thanks for the comments in advance.

Hey - i'm in a similar situation but the other way around.male earns more.
I tend to keep everything 50 50 - and not think about it. Though if there is something i can't do due to money i just won't and he understands i think.

I reckon if your in love with someone none of that matters at all, where you are, what your doing, how much you earn, means absolutely nothing as long as your with that person...., without sounding like a big girls blouse, all ya need is love!.

Obviously it means sweet F.A. to her anyway or she would have ditched you?. Personally I'd be sponging off her :)

Buddy i'm in the same boat. My Gf currently earns about 20k p.a. more than me though she is working in her field 2 years more than me. But within 4 years most likely I will be earn 20k more than her.

The wa we do it now is that we share a lot, sometimes she will pay for the cinema sometimes i will or for dinner etc. She is useless at financial planning and sometimes will end up broke halfway through the month due to shopping etc and I'll have to give her money.

At first it was a bit of a kick in the balls for me but if this is all yout thinking about then its time to hit the road.
