Upgrading Laptop RAM and HDD

    Hi,

I've been trying to get info about what RAM and what type of HDD my laptop will take but details on the HP website are sketchy.

The laptop is a HP Pavilion zd8181ea, it has 1GB RAM and 80GB 4200RPM HDD and the motherboard is a Quanta 3082.

So far I've figured out the following, the HDD in it is an ATA-6 interface so am I stuck with IDE HDDs? I was looking at this one on Komplett: https://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=313242

The memory in it is DDR2 2400, 2*512MB sticks, could i replace them with two of these? https://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=311672

I spent the whole day looking for info but the laptop is a discontinued one and there's not a whole lot of info on it.

    Thanks in advance!

The hard drive will deffo work. As for the ram it should, yoru best bet would be to post on the hp forums to find out if it is 100% compatible.

Thanks for that, i'll check it out. I would have run the Crucial system checker except my network card is acting up. Just going wiping the whole thing and starting fresh.
