Golden Globe nominations just announced, Michael C Hall got a nod for Best Actor in Dexter.

Who is his main competition on this list?
To be honest I've only seen House and Dexter from this list...

I dunno, I haven't watched any of the other ones consistently so I can't judge fairly but Michael C. Hall's acting was superb this season (and last season!) and he deserves to get it, he really does. I've seen House a few times and I think that Hugh Laurie is a very good actor too. It'll be a toughie...

I haven't watched any of the others so I don't know what his competition is like. He did a great job in dexter though so I hope he gets it.

Watched a couple of episodes of Big Love Bill Paxton plays Bill Henrickson(I wonder is that some kind of Homage to Lance Henrickson who was in Terminator and Aliens with him?) is.....well Bill Paxton, so no acting stretch there although I would not mind him getting it either just for his past performances in Aliens, Frailty, A simple Plan and Chet in Weird Science
But Obiously I hope Michel C wins this year as it was an excellent performance throughout.

I don't understand why people care about awards ceremonies. So many crap shows have been heaped with Emmys and so many crap films have won Oscars that these ceremonies have little or no credibility.

Michael C Hall does an incredible job portraying Dexter - that's really all we need to know.

And while I'm taking this off topic..........:p

Jennifer Carpenter (Deb) is crap.
Julie Benz (Rita) is a bit meh....
Erik King (Doakes) is great but a bit one-note (until that spell in the cage).
David Zayas (Angel) is also a bit meh....
C.S. Lee (Masuka) is brilliant .
James Remar (Harry) is also great.
Lauren Vélez (LaGuerta) is great too.

Ah come on, if anyone is a bit one-note it's Masuka.

Loved it when he ran to rescue Dexter at the bowling alley with the massive handgun though.

Hall should get it. Hugh Laurie actually keeps me from watching House. That ridiculous yank accent he does goes right through me. It's embarrassing.
