reet, were doing a time zone party for new years eve at my place, basically as new years happens every hour around the world you have a drink from that country, fosters for sydney, ouzo for greece, tequilla for mexico, coors for denver etc etc

problem is I cant find drinks for the following places.......

    2pm-Brisbane or papua new guinea
    5pm- bangkok, jakarta
    6pm- bangladesh
    6.30- india
    7pm- pakistan
    8pm-Dubai
    8.30-iran
9pm-baghdad or moscow (i've already put Vodka in for siberia)
    1am- the azores
    2am- Rio
    3am- argentina or chile
5am- new york (is bud new york??)
    9am- alaska
    10am- hawaii

........now obviously the chances of anyone making it to Hawaii are slim but as Keano says...
"fail to prepare, prepare to fail"

    anybody?????

also wondering where the best places are to get all these funny drinks

not sure where you can get the bundy i know there's an anzac supply shop based in london but it's too late i'd say for delivery now

coopers is actually from adelaide... if you can get xxxxgold or xxxxbitter they are the local beers of brisbane or bundy rum as derek said. For bangkok it would be either chang beer or singha beer, or else samsung rum

they're the only two i know, best of luck, tis a good idea

3am- argentina or chile - aren't these different time zones. They were the last time I was there. Either of these places have good wines. Quilmes is from Argentina

shaghai-- tiger - for China get Tsing Tso (Quing Dao), tiger beer is from Singapore. You can get Tsing Tso in many supermarkets.

For cachasa, you can get this from the celtic whiskey shop.

Why is absinthe not on the list? It's necessary for a good new years.

What are you going to have at midnight - Guinness, whiskey, etc?

This was the great problem in planning this party, in the last couple of years a couple of time zones have been adjusted, to compicate it further some countries have either adopted, dropped or adjusted their daylight savings time set up. I eventually went with this countdown clock for 2008...

    http://www.timeanddate.com/counters/multicountdowna.html

...as for midnight, were still arguing
