Moved house so now am cycling from Bath Avenue into Jervis .. so using Pearse St inbound

suddenly after passing Pearse Stn the nice bike lane vanishes and I am sharing a bus lane with hordes of taxi drivers which is normally not too bad but I have to keep swerving to avoid manholes - stopped me needing coffee this morning let me tell you !:eek::eek::eek:

Anyone know if there is one planned or ever was ?

I've been cycling that stretch for 2 years now, hasn't been one in that time anyway. Traffic's usually mental so i just split through the traffic whatever way I can until I get to the garda station and then it's plain sailing around to O'Connell bridge.

Yep, it was part of the Dublin Strategic Cycle Network.

    See attached.

I say this, then a few hours later, a feckin garda nearly cleans me out of it outside said garda station. Plain sailing....

You are much better off in the right hand lane on Pearse Street and especially so if you are then turning right and going across the river. The left hand side is a deathtrap alright.
