Shipping 20Kgs to Oz

    Hi - [wasn't sure where to put this so mods, feel free to move]

    Buddy of mine is traveling around the world and has stopped in Ireland for a bit, they want to ship 20Kg of their gear back to Australia (speed is not an issue as they won'y be home for a few months)

    What is the cheapest way to do this? UPS? Fedex etc?
    Has anyone done this before? How long does it take?

    You can ship up to 20kg with An Post. Just check their website for parcel prices. I researched it because I wanted to send stuff to NZ. As far as I remember it was cheaper then couriering it.

    Contact Dublin Airport. They have a desk that specialises in transporting stuff but I can't for the life of me remember their name.

    I used An Post about 6 months ago and sent a heavy package surface mail. It got there pretty quick and all in one piece. Australia, by the way.

    nothing wrong with an post i ship things with them quite regually. so much cheaper than the others and they offer insurance.
