I took this image in dun laoghaire IADT, i tried to capture the colour the best i could, but it was very tricky, seeing as the red was very dominant.
Any tips on capturing strikingly different colours?

I'd try to stop down a little or underexpose a little to reduce the amount of white light in the picture. Possibly try to up the contrast and darken the image in PS too to see if that helps.

It's nice, but I think it would look much nicer with the right-hand wall removed all together. It would make the harsh reds easier to handle...

    Without the wall

And with a lot of saturation.

    And the two together.

    Yaz think it worked?

One with the two together looks good, certainly looks better without the wall on the right,

great psychedelic feel to it in the two together one :-)

Dont suppose th hallway is long enough or has bright colors on both sides to make it some hallucinogenic tunnel vision image?

I like that idea, but i don't have the lens to pull it off me thinks. But yeah, even without drugs that room hurts and messes with your eyes, now if someone was on shrooms in there, that'd be one trippy hall :)

its an interesting pic alright., I like it without the wall, whats the idea to the colour on the windows? is it gel screen or something?

Really really like this shot. The 'two together' one is great. Have you tried to do some selective colour adjustments in Photoshop to tweak the colours at all ? Seems like this is the perfect candidate for endless Photoshop fun !

If this were on flickr, I'd fave it.

    Very nice

it's just those coloured plastic sheets you get for 20c.

And to the above comment, i don't have photoshop, i'm using olympus master for all my shots. http://www.flickr.com/photos/ciarand/

I've taken that as an invite !

Below some basic processing - added contrast, messed with curves, did some selective colour adjustments, added some noise.
