    Pip said I never took a photograph of him. So I dragged him into the studio for 25 minutes during lunch for an impromptu shoot, with some random props, for no reason other than having a bit of fun. Serious fun...

    Anyways.

    For the record, Pip is an artist.

    Click on the images above to see them larger, and on a black background (which I advise).

    Really like them all, especially the first one... it could be on an ad for something (not sure if that's a compliment!? I think it is!), but I'm not sure what!

    Heh, probably for Lomography.com - But then again, their marketing strategies were so successful, they wouldn't need it :p

    Cheers :)

    Edit;

    For anyone interested, First one was lit with a 60 x 30in softbox from behind me. Second was a gridded head coming from eye level from the right. Third was the same as the first. Last was the gridded head and softbox.

    Processing for all involved changing white balance, curves and doing B&W & sepia's in Lightroom, followed by high pass sharpening in CS2.

    + 1, hopefully I will get some insight after Saturday.

    Great shots Al, the first one is my favourite. I love the processing on that one.

    Excellent set Al. I'm going to buck the trend and plump for the mono - I think the lighting is spot (sorry - couldn't resist) on.

    Would love to know what you did to get that tone...

    In-laws Christmas party in Thurles. And that gig date loooong fixed in stone. :(
    At least I might find something interesting to shoot in Tipp while I'm sobering up on Sunday for the drive back to Dublin!

    Annoyed, because I think I'd get a lot out of a knowledge sharing day - not having much yet!
