What's your favourite?

I think the An Post "Walking in the Air" was the best Christmas ad ever. So Christmassy! I didn't see it last year and haven't seen it so far this year either...anyone see it this year?

That ad was amusing - the way Santa made no actual attempt to grant their wishes. "Yeah, good luck with that, and may all YOUR wishes come true as well. G'bye!"

Anyway, I like that newer Coke ad with the trucks.

It's a toss-up between that and the Eircom one with the girl playing with a toy phone and ringing Santa (another one that's not on anymore:mad:)

i used like the old ESB one with dusty Springfields 'Going Back' playing on it...it's the young lad being brought home by his auld fella from the airport and it keeps cutting back to the home where mam is there baking and getting stuff ready; if i remember rightly, there's no explicit mention of Christmas in it at all, which makes it all the better!

had a quick look on youtube but no sign of it!

The coke ad is my favourite but the the Clydesdales one is good as well when they show it in full.

I sincerely hope that ad is never shown again. I despise it and the bloody song they use on it. Bah humbug!

I feel like bawling my head off when I see the old ESB ad with the Disty Springfield song or the Guinness Christmas eve one! They're so full of nostalgia and the music-sigh!! Or the Aer Lingus one with the music from the Mission-Gabriels Oboe! God I'm in bits and not helped by a glass of wine or two!

I voted for the guinness one coz it's just plain class! the ESB one was always a bit of a heart string puller as my mum used to do that whole routine every time one of us was coming home for christmas! sniff sniff! but the guinness one just...love it!

Nice thread bump!

I love all those ads mentioned, but the Coca cola one is the most special. When that comes on, you REALLY know it's Christmas and you feel like a little kid again.

It was tough between the coke one and the kelloggs one, but i went for the coke one as..... i dunno..... its just.... more christmasy i guess. Is it true that coke created the commercialized image we know as Santa?

I LOVED that Penneys ad. I remember they had it back a few years ago but sang it slowly, boo. If anyone can find the original that'd be great.

My fav is the Coke ad- always signifies the start of Christmas to me.
