The Eglinton - 100% prize pool?

    I'm a hobby tournie only player from Galway.
    I have no ties to any casino or poker related business.
    I've been to The Eglinton a few times. Nice spot. I have met Fintan a few times and have no history or beef with him.

    I'm a stingy mofo and love to get value when I play a tournie. I'm concerned about the following.

    100% Prize pools are advertised by the Eglinton on this site.
    See here and other tournie adds.

    However payouts don't match up.

    This is cut form website results page (can't link because its asp type dynamic stuff. Screen shot attached.).

    Is there a registration fee? and maybe when the deal was done 3 ways they left some for the dealers....

    I'd say your forgetting about the reg fee alright or tips left for the dealers.

    Hi Wombatman,

    Thanks for your query
    The total prize pool is correct €10725 , there is 4% withheld from our large events which goes towards the 10k league final on the 20th .

    It is clearly advertised on all our marketing material
    all flyers
    the large hoarding at the top of the stairs
    It is also announced at each final table that 4% is withheld for the league
    I will get onto our web designer today to get it put on the site in the results section (in fairness we should have had it on there).

    While we do advertise that we will take 4% on each tourny we dont on all satellites or many of the smaller events.

    I hope this fully answers your query and if you need to check on any events please call to the club and ask Fintan or Martinz for copies of all the results sheets as they are readily available

    You can also pm me here and I will ring you back to answer queries (I am an investor in the club but not involved in the day to day running).
