I have a video file in the form .mkv and I want to convert it to .avi.

Also, the .mkv file comes with 3 audio tracks - English, French, and Japanese - supposing I wanted to just keep the English track, would this be possible?

I'd appreciate any responses here as this is the first time I've come across a .mkv file.

Wouldn't mind finding out the answer to this myself.

I downloaded a few HD movie trailers in .mkv format, and I'd like to convert them whilst maintaining the quality, to watch using my Xbox 360.

I'm interested too. I remember googling a while ago but found nothing.
