I know this is a sensitive subject.
Just wanted to know do you have to get alot of treatment if you have bone cancer?
My friend told me a while ago she has it.
She hasn't been going hospital from what i know of and hasn't got chemo (spelling?:S) or anything.
She is one of those people who lives off attention and is a compulsive lier.
I hope to god this is another lie but i don't want to say anything in case its not and its an extremely serious thing. Just wondering if anyone could tell me what procedures she would have to go trough if she has it?
I know i must seem like a bitch for questioning it and i feel so guilty about thinkin this but a few other people i know have also questioned it as it was blood cancer a while ago and now its bone.
    Thanks

Google cancer. My father is suffering from prostate cancer and it's now in his bones. once it's in the bone marrow- it's nearly always terminal and the younger you are the more agressive cancer tends to spread.

There are many, many different forms of cancer and survival rates and treatments vary greatly on how far it has spread and where it is. There is no definitive answer. But if it's in her bones- it's serious. There is no such thing as blood cancer though

blood/bone (marrow) cancer could mean leukemia, but they would more than likely have said this. If they're messing/making it up its a fairly crap joke to be honest - not something that they should take lightly.

I had oesophageal cancer which is one of the worst ones and I had chemo for one week in four for three months, then an 8 week wait, then surgery (spent 2 months in hospital). My experience of cancer is that it leaves you very tired, if your friend has cancer then she will be very tired. I only finished my chemo a year ago this week and I am still exhausted. If she is lying about it, it is very bad form.

Thanks for the information, I agree if she is joking she has lost me as a friend.
Not a thing to joke about.
And also since she said she has it she has started smoking and her Mam lets her smoke in front of her and in her bed room, if she has cancer why would her mam let her smoke?=S

I presume, based on your other posts, that your friend is a teenager like you.

Some teenage girls can be attention seekers, to the point of lying about illnesses or making up other stories. If indeed she is telling porkies, there's probably an underlying cause.

Why don't you ask her mother about it? Don't mention you have suspicions or anything, but if you manage to get alone with her mother for a few minutes just ask her how she's doing, how the treatment is going, if there's anything you can do to help them out... You'll know instantly what's going on.

I know people who have pulled this type of stuff before and they disgust me. If she has been lying, you'd be better off without her in your life.
