Do you mean, what's it like for stuff to do? Who are you going with? I went there last May. Pretty enough town to walk around. Everything was closed though cos it was a bank holiday. I wasn't staying in the town centre so didn't really get to tast the night life. It'll be cold enough in January, plenty of snow, but not unbearable.

I travelled around Lithuania for about 5 days and I don't remember ever having any problems with English. Might have been luck though. So I was only in Kaunas for the one night. Is that the Ryanair flight that arrives about 9? If it's earlier, maybe you could go to Vilnius. It's about an hour and a half away. It's a lot nicer and also tourist friendly (but far from being overrun by tourists) than Kaunas. It's probably the prettiest of the Baltic Capitals, though the least visited. But probably not worth it if you're only going for 2 nights....

I wanted to go to the devil museum when I was in Kaunas...but closed...
