I have taken photos inside mosques before and (as I'm a woman) have covered my head with a scarf before entering. All people must take off their shoes also before walking inside.
It is a place of worship so I am always quiet, and try not to use flash if possible, especially during times of prayer.
The atmosphere inside is really quite a feeling
