Does anyone know where is the oil filter on the Mitsubishi Outlander diesel, it has a V.W. 2.0 engine. I'm wondering has the whole sump protective cover to come off.

you need to remove the guard to access it. Filter is on the passenger side and a nightmare to get at AFAIK.

I'd be inclined to get the dealer or at least a SIMI garage do the servicing while it's under warranty.

OK Colm, thanks. I had the oil changed and then I couldn't find the filter!

I usually change the filter before refilling.
