Has anyone else noticed that the cost of CFL Energy saving bulbs have gone up since the budget. The fact that regular bulbs will be outlawed in a year or so, are the stores ripping off the ordinary shopper yet again.
I have been pricing bulbs for the past 6 weeks in various shops. I went back to some this week and found the cost of the bulbs had gone up????

havent heard or noticed anything in relation to the price.......but they are becoming more popular. i presume your refering to the pricing in retail outlets like b&q and woddies....have you tried any elec wholesalers in your area. if buying in bulk...ie changing all the lamps in your house it would probably be cheaper to buy in a wholesaler and probably have more of a variety with respect to colour size and style.

€1.99 in the new Homebase in Lucan for the 8 year versions. I haven't found cheaper than that anywhere.
