What would a return flight to Brazil cost roughly, if I leave in like 10 days, and stay for 20 days. I heard Ryanair are cheap, but do they go to Brazil? I was hoping to go for like E500 maximum...thanx

No Ryanair don't fly to Brazil. Also, what part of Brazil ... it's a HUGE country. I'm presuming Rio ...

Quick search shows Air France to be probably the cheapest, at about €1600 return, but it depends on what days you want to fly. Air France takes about 13 hours if the connections work out. Loads of options, from Air France to Paris and then onwards, or Aer Lingus to Heathrow, then TAP to Lisbon and on to Rio, to Continental to Newark, and then down to Houston and on to Rio. That option takes about 30 hours of travelling, and can cost close to €3000.

While you might get there for around €500, you won't get back again for that.

Ryanair to Brazil - love it :)

As Deacon Blues has said, with this short notice you'll be hard pressed to find a cheap fare.

Do a hunt on expedia/ebookers etc, or have a chat with a travel agent.

Lol imagine that amount of time stuck in a Ryanair cabin. Im sure one day they'll do long haul though.

Only a matter of time of course, but jeez it'd be hell.

O'Leary would be in heaven. Hours on end to try out annoying new services. We thought scratchcards were annoying, one wonders what's next.

He d probably charge for toilet roll knowing everyone would have to go at least once !

Low fare airlines have never really been that sucessful for long haul just yet ! Aer Lingus are trying it with USA but they have a very limited schedule and are compensating with short haul. Any of the USA companies that did it to Europe (People Xpress etc) have never suceeded long term as the low fares models flourish on getting as many flights out of a plane as possible in a day which cant be accomodated with long haul !

Good luck to you going to Brazil with Ryanair - pack a good carry on bag (flask, loo roll, munchies, MP3 player, book etc)

Zoom are doing quite well. Main thing to remember, though, is you can't have truly "low cost" long haul flights. Try charging for meals on a 7+ hour flight and you'll get lynched.
