Myself and Nicky are doing the updates for Poker news so we will make sure the Irish get covered as well as possible.

Today there is Marty Smyth, Rob Taylor and George McKeever playing.

Tommorrow sees Nicky Power, Gavin (Valor) Kelly, Vesty and Owen Mullan take their seats.

I think allinstevie, Steve Devlin from Omagh plays 2moro also.

    Mike,
Keep an eye out for Ian Marmion from Galway - he's the maniac who was one of the chip leaders in Barcalona last year after day one (80k or so) and was gone in 20 mins on Day 2 - stacked Johnny Lodden - his table will be fun to watch - think he's playin day 1b

Could someone post a link to the updates please?

    Nicholas Levi is Eliminated!

Nicholas Levi raised from the small blind with 7h 7s and got one caller. He bet the 2d 3d 4c flop and was called. The turn was the Kh and Nicholas pushed all in to be called by Kc 8s. Yes, his opponent called a bet on the flop with a King-high pair draw! No miracle seven on the river and we have lost the white-hat-wearing Frenchman.

    Nicky beware - fish everywhere

Sorry what was I thinking. Actually if double the average is 28K starting stack must have been 30K at least

    Rob is out

JJ on a J 10 X flop all in for a 60k pot and he loses to KK.

I dont know how the board ran out, just got the txt there now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,924 ✭✭✭shoutman

    Thats sick, unlucky rob.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,282 ✭✭✭Bandara

    Rob Taylor eliminated

After a large pre-flop raise to 3000 that was called in one spot,Taylor called with {J-Hearts}{J-Spades} and made a full house on a {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} flop.

He just called a large flop bet leaving not much behind and decided to just move all-in on the turn which was the {K-Clubs}.

Unfortunately for Taylor Daan Ruiter had just made a bigger full house with {K-Diamonds}{K-Spades}.

    OUCH, ul Rob

Have you never heard of floating?

You've no mention of stack sizes or players images, the guy was obviously floating that flop and probably made a well thought out read based call on the turn. More likely vwp than 'huge fish' imo.

    Edit, vul Rob, that's sick.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,070 ✭✭✭Ollieboy

thats a horrible cooler of a hand for Rob, but there's always the side action and it took a house over a house to knock you out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,212 ✭✭✭MrPillowTalk

Everytime a flopped full house gets beaten a baby fairy dies.

That was really unlucky, Rob. Re-enter for day 1b. :)
