Cool, I was hoping for something like that. Prob try and pick that one up so

I have seen the ad for those detective games and they really interest me but they may be crap so I am a little cautious of them

The main reason being is because this type of thread has been done loads of times before and people are tired of writing the same things again and again.

    Mario Kart DS
    New Super Mario
    Animal Crossing
    Metroid Prime: Hunter
    Zelda: Phantom Hourglass
    Elite Beat Agents

    And loads more......

Jeez where to start.... Games I'v enjoyed immensley:

    Fifa 08
    Need For Speed Underground 2
    42 All-Time Classics
    Mario 64 DS
    Zelda: P.H.
    Mario Party DS
    Tony Hawks American Skateland

There's enough there to be getting on with :D

The new Zelda is essential but will destroy your life
New Super Mario Brothers is great craic.
I loved Another Code: Two Memories and Hotel Dusk: Room 215 which are basically the point 'n' click games of yore.
42 All Time Classics is a great commuting game, you can play individual games for 2/3 minutes and there is a great selection.

If you do not have a Gameboy Advance Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap is great too and you can usually pick it up dirt cheap. With GBA games being playable it gives you a great wealth of games to play that can be got cheap enough.

The Phoenix Wright games seem a good laugh but never played it for long as I got distracted by something bright and shiny I think.

I intend on getting Mario and Luigi: Partners In Time but haven't yet as I'm working through Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga.

Metacritic is usuallu spot on. Just buy the first 20 or so.

jayteecork summed it up. Metacritic's top twenty are the business - if you are a diverse player then any one of them will keep you entertained.

    Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan!
The only handheld game that I've played that I'd consider giving 10/10 to.
Judging by the OP's handle, he won't be afraid of a bit of Japanese craziness...

The sequel and the not-so-sequel (Elite Beat Agents) weren't great in comparison, but both are worth checking out.
