URGENT! Picture Mounts Needed (Pre-Cut)

I know we've all talked about this before, but I'm stuck now.
I cleaned out Woodies in Finglas today.

What I need is some pre-cut mounts, preferably black, to fit 8"x10" pictures.
I've sold a few & want to get them in the post A.S.A.P.

Since I work in D4, I need to be able to get some in town tomorrow or Tuesday at the latest.

Why are these things so hard to come by?
I find it hard to believe that Woodies are the only place to stock them!

    Thanks in advance.
    P.

Uhem, it could be that I will need to drop via Regency Framing tomorrow evening to pick up a frame. If you tell me exactly what you need, or phone them and check they have them and get them to set aside what you need, I will collect for you tomorrow evening and we can arrange to meet and sort out later.

I need black picture mounts, for 8"x10" pictures.

    Where's that framing place?

It's in Baldoyle. I have to pick up a 20-30 inch frame sometime this week for someone who ordered a print before I went away. AFAIK it should be ready for me tomorrow so I was going to go straight after work.

I'm just a little dozy right now - apologies but I didn't get much sleep for the last week and I was travelling for 24 hours yesterday - so if you want me to do this, the easiest thing I would recommend is that you call them in the morning, ask them if they have them - AFAIR they had pre-cut mounts and I think they supply Woodies anyway - and if they do, ask them to set them aside and I'll get them for you. That's unless someone comes up with an alternative source for you in the meantime, of course.

The ones I got in Woodies are marked "iFrame" & are made in Ireland.
    That's all it says though.

I'm a ditz. There's a Woodies in Swords. Do you want me to go have a look? Replied required in short space of time...it's 5.30.

(like I said, slightly dozy today).

If it's not too much trouble.
I was out at Airside today & went to Woodies in Finglas, but didn't know there was one in Swords. The ivory coloured mounts don't suit the prints, so they have to be dark.

P.S. They have some marked 8"x10" but they're for a frame that size. They need to be for 8"x10" prints.

Do I have to earn them?

I'm not a manipulative conniving person etc etc etc. Making you "earn" them didn't even enter my head. I'm just looking at this practically.

The options are a) meet in the middle somewhere or b) come and get them and I might make you some tea.

    I don't drink tea.
    Mail sent to you.
    Thanks again.

By the way, do many people cut their own mounts?
I was looking at it as an option today, but it wasn't practical, in my current situation.

mweh. and there's me with very nice tea which I bought in Paris during my stopover yesterday.

all the more for me then.

yes, people cut their own mounts. I'm not one of them though.

M&S Blanchardstown has really nice 8x10 frames with mounts in them for €17, bit pricey but well made.

I cut my own mounts (badly), but only because :
    1) I get the board cheap at my club!
    2) Got a bevel cutter cheap!
    3) Everyone else was doing it!

    PS.... I'm a cheapo!

    :D

I have a mount cutter if you ever need a loan! Took a while to figure out how to use, coz I'm thick like that, but it's pretty decent. :)

Calina bought two for me & then I realised that the ivory coloured one was double thickness & the second layer was charcoal coloured. They aren't stuck together, so I was able to use the inner layer as a mount for the third picture.

    I'm sooooooo clever! :D

    Thanks again, Calina.
