GB/GBA Emulation on DS

    Why is it that this can only be done with a slot-2 card? I understand that this allows it to be hardware emulated by the DS's backwards compatibility chip.. But surely it's possible to emulate the GB through software, like the SNES and Megadrive have been!

    The only thing is why would someone waste there time developing incredibly complicated software emulation which would prob never be 100% compatible when there is already hardware that will do the job perfectly.

    Cant see it ever happening.

    You only need a slot 2 for GBA emulation. Gameboy and Gameboy colour work fine on an r4.

    Check out an emulator called Lameboy.
