I read on PlayAsia that it has been released in Asia and that stocks are very low. I wouldn't expect it this side of Xmas. Wikipedia suggests that it will be available in the US and Europe 'sometime in early 2008'.

wondering if there will be a weight restriction on the balance board.

I can't see it being too small if they want to sell units in the states but it looks a bit flimsy for a big strappin bloke such as meself.

don't want to shell out 80 quid on it only for it to break in half while i'm hula-hooping like a mad thing

The dancing part of that video is so cringey!

I can't wait for Wii music..

    146kg (300lb).

    Thats almost 21.5 stone.

(Remember, they had to build these things for the American Market!) :)

Ideally Nintendo would like to launch a same-sized Balance Board worldwide,[2] although after receiving feedback from Wii Fit's Japanese launch Nintendo may decide if an "American-sized" Balance Board is needed, as the japanese model is designed to support people weighing 136 Kg (around 300 pounds) at most.[2]

I'm sure it will be, but I'd imagine that the game it comes with won't be compatible with your European consoles. Not much use without a game, is it?
