Carrying Weapons

After experiencing a recent episode of 'road rage' I have since began carrying a 12" ratchet (for changing wheels) in my car. Don't know whether I'd use it or not but it makes me feel less vulnerable.

I have a 10 ton weight, some rope, a pulley and some chalk to draw an X on the ground. It's not too useful in the heat of the moment, but it makes me feel safe.

I have jump leads. Anyone comes near me gets the worst nipple gripple EVAR!

Seriously though, there's never any reason to carry a weapon. Anyone gets out of their car to approach me, I'm gone. I'll run them over if I have to.

The only reason for having a weapon at hand is to use it otherwise the danger is always it will be used on you never bring a weapon to fight not to use it.

So in short put that back into your boot and dont be another crime statistic villian or victim

I carried a legally owned and licensed firearm with me for years (yes, they are legal where I'm from).

Not worth it in my opinion. It's like having 10 beers on you, bravado increases 10 fold and you're just looking for trouble. I'm much happier here in Ireland where a) you're not allowed to and b) you don't really need to.

Besides, as someone said, just ride em over if you have to :D

And what do you carry for 'thread rage'?.. [You've just started one].

I have a nunchucks under my seat that turns into a handy clothes-hanger (in case I get attacked by Gok Wan driving a girly car).

    Honestly

A large wrench (Dont know measurement but fairly big)

I dont know if a 12" ratchet would do the job. Maybe try something that looks more threatening like a nail gun

Really? Well that kinda defeats the purpose IMO

Dead right Juuge...I hate having a bout of road rage and not having anything to hand (just cursing at them is no fun)....now when you have your next bout of road rage you can jump out and start bashing in his back window with ur wrench..

Only two of the fifty states have no provision for concealed firearms, Wisconsin and Illinois. Legal in the other 48, usually with a license. (No license required for two, Vermont and Alaska)

    NTM

Missing the point completely.......I was the victim of road rage, I didn't instigate it. The guy took a swing at me and missed by about two inches. I put the boot down and left him there. The next time things will be different.

Why? Firearms are licensed here for entirely different purposes. It's impossible to license a firearm for self-defence in this country, and I like it better that way.
