I recently installed some dvr software on a brand new dell machine (XP) I have installed this software on several other pc's (including my own)with no issues (I have multiple legit copies before anyone gets up on their high horse)
The problem is that all the menu titles and buttons appear as question marks or in oriental characters:confused: Ive installed allthe language packs etc and i definately installed the english version. any ideas how to change this so it appears in english?? As i said the exact same program appears properly on 3 other computers.

    All help appreciated.

In Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Regional Options tab, what language is set under Standards and Formats? Some applications (eg. GIMP2) change their UI language to match what is set there.
