Following article is in this weeks cork independent:

'Formed in 2002 IwW has become become a dominant force in Irish and European professional wrestling having toured the majority of the Republic of Ireland with athletes such as former WWE Superstars Kid Kash, Tatanka, Jake 'The Snake' Roberts and D'Lo Brown along with TNA Superstars AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels And Chris Sabin and many more including IwW's homegrown superstars such as Madman Manson, Red Vinny, Bingo Balance, Vic Viper and The Ballymun Bruiser who was featured in The News of the World this past sunday.

However as IwW enters it's sixth year of operations, the one county that it has yet to visit is Cork. However that will change on March 16th 2008 as IwW invades Neptune Stadium for the final leg of it's St. Patrick's Day Massacre Tour. A little known fact is that the name Irish Whip Wrestling has strong ties to Cork as the Irish Whip name was taken from Corkman Danno O'Mahoney, a World Champion in the 1930's, who invented the concept of the 'Irish Whip' which is used by every wrestler today from WWE down to the grass-root organisations.

Not to be confused with past shows in Cork which were nothing more than than fake WWE tribute shows with wannabe wrestlers dressed up pretending to be the likes of The Undertaker & Batista, IwW will provide the full on live wrestling experience and to mark IwW's Cork debut, Irish Whip Wrestling has acquired the services of former WWE Superstar Eugene! Indeed the man who has been a staple of WWE programming for the past 3 years and who has defeated the likes of Triple H and Kurt Angle will be in action on March 16th at Neptune Stadium!

Another former WWE Superstar who will be in attendance will be former WWE Tag Team Champion Pierre Carl Oulette. Having held the WWE Tag Titles with Jacques Rougeau as The Quebecers in 1993 and 1994, Pierre went on to feud with Bret Hart in 1995 under the alias of Jean Pierre Laffitte with amazing success before leaving to compete in Germany and Puerto Rico and resurfacing in WCW in 2000 as part of Team Canada. More recently he competed in TNA in 2003 as X and in recent months has been touring the UK as the head of the World Riot Squad.

Also in attendance will be one of the most respected athletes within the wrestling industry, the 20+ year veteran and former WCW and ECW superstar Tracy Smothers. Fresh off of competing in IwW's 5th Anniversary tour this past October, Smothers is in preparation for his return with the possibility of looking for another shot at the IwW International Heavyweight Title which is currently held by Vic Viper. With Viper already contracted to compete in a last man standing match on the show, competition has been feirce in who will be his opponent.

And in the second title match on the night, the current reigning and defending IwW Zero - Gravity Champion Red Vinny will defend his title agaist two opponents to be announced soon in a triple threat match. Also on the night there will be a meet and greet and autograph session with all the stars on the show including former WWE Superstar Eugene!

With more stars to be announced closer to the date, this is a show that you cannot afford to miss! Coming off a string of sell out shows, tickets are bound to go fast so to avoid disappointment, pre-book your tickets now from Pro Musica, 20 Oliver Plunkett Street or call the IwW hot-line on 085-8283779. Tickets are €15.'
