    what cameras will they use?
    any made to fit kit? or something off a shelf? (presumably a top shelf)

    will they have a special shutter and other buttons? astronaut's globe are a bit cumbersome I'd say for a standard digital camera

    I know apolo missions used (allegedly) medium format to take pictures of themselves on the moon

    They use D2Xs with different lubricants. Think thats all oh yea and fully tested by NASA

    I am amazed that they would choose such a heavy camera given that it costs around 1 million dollars to get 1 kilo into space and the payload of a shuttle is so limited.
