    Here's the fixtures for tonight.

I'm thinking a 4 fold acc at 6/1 (Leverkusen, Moscow, Bordeaux, Austria)

and an over/under on the bolton game - i think it will be a low scorer.

    Bayer Leverkusen -v- Sparta Prague
    Spartak Moscow -v- Zurich
    Aris Saloniki -v- Braga
Red Star Belgrade -v- Bolton W.
    AaB Aalborg -v- Getafe
    Anderlecht -v- Tottenham H.
    Austria Vienna -v- Panionios
    Bordeaux -v- Helsingborg

red star are a grt bet against bolton tonight, they have left anelka, k davies, nolan, o'brien and jussi at home so thats the spine of d team and megson has already stated d league is their priority...they have a big game against wigan on sun and wil b focused on that.

mike are you the new mod congrats! ;)

but ya the txt speak isn't good. Although his point about Red Star is valid. Bolton wont win the UEFA cup and the league is their priority

Sorry it drives me nuts, the internet is for writing on! :)

The RSB/Bolton game looks a banker alright.

;) or should I say

Have Spurs any chance of keeping a clean sheet? Anderlecht are not setting the world on fire but Ramos will be without Ledley King, Anthony Gardner, Gareth Bale, Benoit Assou-Ekotto and Ricardo Rocha and he's dropped Younes Kaboul (no harm!). There's going to be alot of pressure on the attack to deliver.

6/5 Red Star is mad altogether.

As for Spurs, an over 4.5 is probably in the offing, 3-2 or something to that effect again

    Anderlecht v Tottenham
Spurs only need a draw to progress, so would be cautious about this game. Add to that
spurs poor away form this season so far, and the fact that Anderlecht have only been
beaten once at home this season. Seems a dodgy one.

    Aalborg v Getafe

Anyway Aalborg lead the Danish league this season and they have won 7 out of 10 home
games which has brought just one defeat, also scoring 21 in the process, tonight they
could do with a win to go have a decent chance of going through, a defeat will send
them out. Aalborg current home form reads won 5 drawn 1 scored 14. They last lost
at home back in August against another top Danish side Odense. On the other hand
Getafe got a good win at Spurs earlier in the group, but Spurs where having problems at the
time, and La Liga Getafe's record of 5 defeats in 7 away games tells its story. A draw
would be considered a good result for Getafe leaving them with 4 points with still a home
    game to go.

    Aris v Sporting Braga

Elsewhere Braga had a disappointing start to the season but have recently picked up a
bit of form. They know a defeat tonight and they will be on the verge of exiting europe.
Aris arent the greatest side at home, but they arent the worst. I can see Braga going
here and getting the point they need to remain in europe.

    Red Star v Bolton
Nicolas Anelka, Kevin Davies, Kevin Nolan, Andy O'Brien, Ricardo Gardner and Jussi
Jaaskelainen are all not traveling. Campo wasnt registered in time so he also cant play.
Bolton are 17 in the league and for good reason.
Red star were knocked out by rangers 1-0 over 2 legs. They are expected to have a
32,000 crowd (full house). They are also undefeated in 14 games this season with 29
goals scored and just 11 conceeded in their own league which they won last year and
currently lie 2nd in. Bolton have no goal threat so should be a home win.

Going to avoid the spurs match although i am leaning towards an over 2.5 bet.
Going to instead go for a double chance accumulator on Red star, Braga and aalbourg win/draw.
€50 pays just shy of €200.

    In a word : no.
Not an earthly hope of spurs keeping a clean sheet.
    Score draw more than likely.

Can someone help me with a double chance query? I understand home & draw and away & draw but how does home & away work?
    Bayer Leverkusen And Draw 1.05
    Sparta Prague And Draw 2.70
Bayer Leverkusen And Sparta Prague 1.20

    Mike.

The only way you lose is if its a draw.

Edit: i.e. If Leverkusen win or Sparta win, then the bet comes in, if its a draw then the bet loses.

-1 handicap means the team must win by 2 goals as they start at -1

Anyway I'm keeping my money dry there are some cracking top v bottom games this weekend
and so a good chance of pulling off a very large accu or two decent value ones. I'll start a seperate thread for that :)

    Mike.

    Ok, im iffy about what to do about tonight. Definitely going to have Red Star @ 6/5, but who else to take? I've narrowed it down to this;

    Leverkusen V Sparta Leverkusen @ 4/9
    Spartak V FC Zurich Spartak @ 8/13
    Empoli V Juve Juve @ 8/13
    Aalborg V Getafe Aalborg & Draw @ 8/13
    Aris V Braga Braga & Draw @ 4/7
    Bordeaux V Helsingborg Bordeaux @ 1/2
Red Star V Bolton Red Star @ 6/5

    And
    Anderlecht V Spurs
Robbie Keane @ 7/4 Anytime goalscorer
    Over 2.5 Goals @ 5/6

I wouldn't touch the outright of that match with a Younes Kaboul length bargepole.

First 7 matches are almost 32-1.
    Worth a fiver cson.

Lot of important UEFA matches with teams going all out to win or else (Leverkusen)
completely holding back for their domestic leagues (bolton)

The Bordeaux Helsingborg could be a banana skin.
Helsingborg are a good team and Bordeaux have shipped 8 goals in their last 2 games.

Bordeaux are badly priced in comparison to Red Star for example. Might leave them out.
