Well I'm over on the pacific coastline of Canadia-that's my reason. It's only 5pm, killin' time in work.
Are all the rest of ya up late? Or abroad?

Ever since taking up the position of ''man of leisure'', i've been having trouble getting sleep, right now i'm wide awake, i general don't get to sleep till 3 or 4am and don't wake up until 1 or 2. It may sound great but it kinda sucks, i'd much prefer to go to bed at a normal hour.

I'll be heading off now though as i have to be up early so i can move back home for a couple of weeks before heading off to Canadia for a year. w00t!!

It's class over here. Vancouver is mild enough in winter. But has ski hills within 30 mins.
Most jobs you can get the equivalent of what you have at home. It's easy to make the transition from workin in Ireland to working here. Wages seem to be roughly 10% better (at least in IT and teaching) Cost of living is 20% less.
Plenty of gigs and stuff going on. Some ****ty pubs, but enough good ones to keep you going.
Found a real nice place to live, close to downtown, without being in downtown.
And the US is a quick drive over the border for deals on drink, clothes etc.
    Lovin' it here

    Browsing around Boards.

Downloading a demo of 'Scene It? Lights Camera Action' since the asshats at Virgin refuse to send out my copy.

Finishing off a bag of 'Roasted Chicken with Lemon & Thyme' Walker Sensations.

About to grab a glass of Sprite with two... no, no... three ice-cubes!

    I'm an I.T. head myself....

Here how did you manage to get over there?. I mean Visa wise etc?. Did you have to organize a job first and that?.

Have to go through Usit unfortunately. (unless you have a job before you come over, but you need a visa to get a job, catch 22). You land over then and start looking for a job.
Ya have to shell out a few quid to USIT, but it's worth it. Get onto usit.ie and register your interest. They'll let you know around January if you're in. No obligation either, you can cancel and not pay anything.
IT jobs are plentiful enough. You kinda have to go through recruitment companies, but they will sort you out. Which part of IT you in?

Up to 35 I think, you don't need to be a stoodent:

    http://canada.usit.ie/nonstudent_programme/index.html

Lots of Network support, Sys Admin contracts knocking around. Cisco is much sought after if you have the certification

There's not so much grad position-you would need a year or two experience in some field for most jobs
