    Hi,

For the last two days the TV channels on my NTL digital are just blank, but the 'headers and footers' telling you what channel it is still come up and the radio stations are fine. I'm in Dublin 6 and have never had any other problems with the service (well not that taking out the card and blowing on it didn't fix). Just wanted to see if any other 'boarders' had experienced this.

As I'm not paying by Direct Debit they're charging an extra fee of €2 each month (getting to €12 now they say we owe) and I'm refusing to pay this. Could NTL trying to be smart and chop our service since I'm not paying the DD fee?

Short answer, no. If they're going to withdraw service because you've not been paying your bills, they'll send you reminders first.

    Sounds like a signal problem.

Check the scart connections are all tight (they can come loose over a long period of time).

Plug out the set top box, remove the smartcard, leave for 15-20 seconds, plug the set top box back in - re-insert the smartcard when prompted.

If that doesn't work - ring the freephone number, 1908.

The only time you'll be charged the extra is if you are late in paying. They had a change of heart on this after the initial furore.
