    Hi Folks,

Ive noticed that Apple have been highly homo and decided that no one uses cut and paste, that we all should be using copy and paste so now we have the added bonus of retracing our steps to move files to trash after we have moved them to the desired location. Bravo Apple

Ive noticed though that if I drag and drop some file types that they are moved rather than copied why is this and how can I cut rather than copy for files.

    Dave

I must admit that I wish they had cut on the finder.

When you drag and drop the file should be moved, why would you want to copy rather than move?

if you're moving between drives they are copied whereas if you move within a drive they are actually moved.

Opt+drag to change the behaviour of the action, so what was a copy becomes move and what was a move becomes a copy.
