Yes its true. A passport or driving license and to be over 18 is all that is needed to join. There is a tournie on Saturday but I'm not sure what it is at the minute. Whatever it is it starts at 9pm.

I'm hoping to be there to see the fight myself maybe play a ROE....

    Awesome!

So what time does the place close or is it 24hours?

Does anyone know if its 100%?

And any info on the sat night tourney would be awesome!

    Cheers

I wouldn't trust that Olly bloke either. Anyhow, according to statistics - with 95% confidence we can tell you it is actually 103%.

However I may be misunderstanding your question.

no tom you get 2 stacks
like 3000 + an extra 3000 you can take any time after the 1st hand.
I'd guess it would have all levels and no antes 20 min clock
    I may be wrong though

    Ah right i see.

Whats the casino like, is it like the Grosvenors in England or is more of a pub type set up? Would you anticipate a big turn out due to the boxing?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 220 ✭✭TomPich

Ok, so they are showing the Hatton fight which has swayed my decision to go to the Casino.

Can people explain how things work there? What poker tourney is on sat night? When is registration? start time? dealers? etc...

How many screens do they have?

    etc...

Just the ins and outs of the caisno!

    Cheers

Why would you have flown home to England to see it? Would it not have been cheaper to pay for it over here?

Booked a flight months ago and as it was sat-mon return i got it for 12 euro. but thats just a back up, if i can watch it in dub i will. ok?

Welcome to the forum Tom. I have merged your other thread with this one as it serves both functions and would only unnecessarily clutter up the forum to have 2 threads about the same item.

As for the sky thing, fair enough, you must like your boxing.

Hmmm we don't like you lot coming over from the mainland and drinking in our pubs with your rangers shirts on and your bulldog tattoos.

I challenge you to a bareknuckle streetfight. I bagsies being Mayweather, you can be the Fat Manc Lad.

ooohhhhhh its on like donkey knogggggggggggg.

  • Subscribers Posts: 32,859 ✭✭✭✭5starpool

    Donkey Knog?

As for Luke's, I believe there is only 1 telly and it is on the ground floor, but they may have moved it to be on the poker floor for the fight. Maybe one of the more regulars (than me) or staff there can enlighten the OP as to the situation there?

There are 2 TVs, There will be drink available on both floors during the fight and build up, usually free drink will only be available on gaming floor.

Yes, Merrion Square, there is free parking between 7pm and 7am, if youre in a game longer than that the club will make sure the meter is paid.

thanks a lot mate. are trainers ok?

how busy do u reckon it'll be, and how big are the screens? worried about getting a decent view lol

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,881 ✭✭✭bohsman

Hi, I work in Lukes - dress code very relaxed, trainers tracksuits etc ok. There is a free 10euro bet for new members (ask for it) There are 5 42inch TVs spread across 4 floors so should be fine for a view, blackjack is 3euro min bet, to guarantee a good view Id recomend coming early for a while and playing for a bit while drinking free beer.

    Bohsman;

How badly would it be looked upon if people turn up for the fight with no intention of playing casino games or poker?

I'd be willing to pay a cover charge at the door but I just don't like casino games, etc (I'll be gambling on the fight lol).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,656 ✭✭✭dannydiamond

I'd nearly drive to dublin on saturday after reading all this good stuff.
