Fundraising for Zambian Housing Project

    Hi all,

My sister and I are fundraising for the Zambian Housing Project appeal at the moment. Its a very worthy cause where people from our local area at home in Corr na Móna are going out to Zambia in February (my sister is one of 7 people going) to help build houses, work in orphanages, hospitals etc in a rural community in Zambia. The Zambia housing project in our area started last year to great success where a handfull of local lads helped to successfully build 2 houses. This year they are aiming to build six. Each house will help take 8 children off the streets and they will have a live in mammy to take care of them.

Every cent of funds raised go directly to the local missionaries in Zambia, our local priest at home Fr. Kelly has been in Zambia for decades and helps with the important work being undertaken there. We have been fundraising at home for months now and everyones generosity keeps amazing us, people have donated everything from childrens toys, farming tools, bicycles, clothes and even a tractor was donated recently. Every cent is greatly appreciated and goes straight to help in building houses, educating local children and helping in orphanages and hospitals.

I have sponsorship cards with me, in NUIG at training and at the Turkey Shoot in Leixlip at the weekend, if anyone would like to support this worthy cause. I realise everyone might be tight on funds coming up to Christmas but anything you can give would greatly help!

Thanks for listening and if you want to know more about this project please don't hesitate to ask me. If you think anyone else would be interested in this could you kindly forward this email to them.

    Many thanks again,

    Niamh
