Is the internet broken?

Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed a huge increase in the amount of websites that don't load when you try and go to them?

At first I thought it was just Boards, since it's probably the site I use most, and I noticed that threads wouldn't load when I tried to open them. I didn't think much of it because I just assumed it's the databases doing something or other that I don't really understand, so I just went to different threads.

But then I started noticing that the same thing was happening with other sites. Thoughts of it being the internet connection in work were dashed when I noticed the same problem at home. And when I mentioned it to a mate, he said he had the odd problem too.

And the only thing linking all these problems together is the warning "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". Now, I couldn't give a shìt what Internet Explorer can or cannot do since I'm using Firefox:confused:

    Anyone else notice any craziness?

Yes, this has happened to me a lot lately, usually sorts it out if I clear my cookies. Virus/spyware maybe?

Oh and I'm also using firefox and got the IE message.

Thank Allah I can post here anyway, using my special series of tubes that run parallel to the net.

    possible causes:

biko turned his computer off again.
    Ruu killed the boss (again)
you've been banned by the mods.
you have child pornography on your hard drive.
    or I broke it again.

seriously though there is a massive conspiracy. your not the only one who's noticed this of late.

You neglected to include: "you touch yourself at night."

Keeps the net exciting tho. Imagine every page was where you expected it to be at all time? Soon research would get boring.

This way it feels more alive, more guerilla. Strike and retreat with the power of information.

Yup, same happening here. Thought it was something to do with my connection but it happens on my parents' computer too.

It's actually great. If it happens I usually get angry at the stupid internet and go do other things. If it didn't happen, I'd spend way too much time on here.....actually, wait...I think I do anyway!

The Internet needs to be turned off and back on again. All would be fixed then.

In my experience, if a page dosn't load from the net its because my antivirus/antispyware programs are blocking that page. I have a second computer running milleniun with no protection and if I realy need to download a page it will usualy download to that computer.

Yeah, but that would mean everybody rebooting their PC's simultaneously and at the same time. Not going to happen. Else we need a worldwide power cut.

Nope, I'm afraid part of the internet is borked, and it's all humanji's fault.
