Hi, going to prague next thursday for 5 days with the girlfriend. Just have a few questions.
Whats the best way to get from the airport to the centre. Is there a bus that goes because I think are hotel is pretty near the main bus station. Its aparthotel davids incase anyone knows it. Heres the location http://www.hostelprague.com/hosteldetails.php/AparthotelDavids-Prague-22028/directions/

Is it worth changing money before we go or is it better to just take out of the atm's over there? have a laser card from BOI and they says it should work in the atms.

Any other tips would be helpfull to

    Thanks in advance!!

You can get the bus (118?) from the airport to the Dejvicka metro station. However, your best bet is to get the shared Cedaz minibus to Republic Square, about a 5-10 min walk from your hostel. I've never got it, but I think they have a stand with info and tickets etc somewhere in Arrivals. Costs about 3€ IIRC. If there's a few of you, it might be an idea to use a whole Cedaz bus for yourselves - not sure of the cost.

Actually, the options are listed here, towards the end of the page:

Thanks for the help. That website is very good. Does any one have any advice on changing money?

Just get it from an ATM. There are a few in the airport, although they will give you large bills, which most small retailers will give you grief about. Best bet to break them down is to buy something small in a 'large' shop - Tesco, McDonald's etc. Failing that, bring Euro and change them in a Bank (beware some of the Change places!), who will give you usable notes.

just back from prague, this was 10th time in prague....
fantastic place... when you get to the door of the airport the best way is to get a van, not the taxis from the taxi girls at the door..
they have a flat rate.. they will bring you to the door of your accomadation..

have done the busses and trams etc but if you are not used to the city can be bit of a nightmare....
good luck irt is great, just stay clear of the irish b ars, they are jammed with pissed up english intimadating the punters
