a friend of mine is going to the Ricky Hatton fight this sat he is looking to buy a few PS3 Games for his younger brother will he is over there. Will they work on his PS3 back here in Ireland?

Yes, PS3 games are region free.

Edit: However don't expect to be able to trade them in at place like Gamestop. They won't accept US Games here in Ireland.

Most blurays are'nt at the moment. Games yes, ordered enough from there.

Hi. i am heading to New York on the 15th and im thinking about getting a PS3.
What I want to know is does anyone here buy Blu Rays(US Region) of the net and is it worth the hassle?

This is directed at people with non pal consoles if there is any here,
