hey just wondering what's the story with the carol service today??? it's in the calendar and says it's at 5:05p.m?? where is it and can anybody go or is it some kind of formal type thing for special people?!!

i've looked around and can't find any info bout it on any of the websites.

on a side note what's with loads of the societies websites having gone a.w.o.l?

Not formal at all, and open to all. A lot of family, graduates etc turn up as well as current staff and students. The doors open at 4.30pm and while it's possible to turn up later than then, you shouldn't wait until the last minute, as it fills up quite quick and you might end up standing outside. There's a reception afterwards in the Atrium (mince pies etc) and again that's open-but-crowded.

I wonder if there'll be lyric sheets there... I'll probably go, I love caroling. That, plus I have to hang around the college until 7pm anyway to give an announcement to a society, so I may as well go down. :)

awww the carol service was really nice, saw the provost n all, sure he even read the gospel fair play to him!

does that mean i'll never see him again so? seems he can be a bit elusive from what i gather.

the choir were fantastic also, good for them:D

Yeah, heggles read the prologue to the gospel - he almost forgot to end it though!

    Singing was great though.

The Service was lovely, and it was great to see the Provost and his wife taking part. I even managed some muted singing. Afterwards, there were very tasty mince pies and orange juice.
