Firewire to USB

    hi all

    I have a laptop with no firewire port...
    I bought a bit of hardware over the weekend and it requires one of these ports...

    So my question is...is it possible to get a little converter... Firewire to USB?

    The only one I've seen is this one. Looks like it only does DV and only works with their software:

    Does your laptop have a PCMCIA or ExpressCard slot? You can get firewire cards for those easily.

    +1 on the pcmcia card option. selling for around $30 online.

    no such thing as a firewire/usb convertor cable or anything i'm afraid.
