Don't bother searching the multiple threads on tv's here. Sit back while we trawl through online and store prices. We'll get back to you when we have a full listing of prices and specs for you....:D

TBH if you were really interested in buying a tv you'd have given more details. get the finger out & have a look at other threads. This thread should be retitled "how long is a piece of string......"

The reason i haven't given more details is because i don't know what size Telly i want. I'm thinking less than 28 inch as it is only for a bedroom. the reason i din't give a price limit is because i don't really know much about HD telly's. If i did i would be after taking some of the advice given in the other threads.

Would this be of Good Value?
    Is it a good spec?

In argos there is a 19" dvd/lcd combo... best of both worlds... not too expensive either... check out your local argos.

For an extra €20 you can get a 19" Samsung LCD TV in PC world.

    Just looking at play.com
    http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/3-/117031/2-/Promo.html?dpr=117031
They have some good prices with Free delivery...
I can't remember, are they based in Jersey so you can be stung by customs?

edit* never mind... they do not ship electronics outside the UK.

Get yourself over here then (http://www.directtvs.co.uk/32-39_Inch_LCD_TVs/prod.asp). They ship to Ireland and even with sterling conversion rate you could save upto €300/€400 on a TV.

They're selling the Sony KDL32D3000 for approx €1000 including shipping. This model is €1,299 in the Sony shops and Arnotts here.

It looks good but quality might be suspect in terms of build and picture.600:1 contrast is'nt that great no matter what way you look at itAnother thing i noticed was that the hdmi is only version 1.1 I think the 360 and ps3 use hdmi cables version 1.3 .There could be some compatibility issues there.I;m not sure but potential buyers would want to watch out
