Sky + Query

I currently have Sky satellite with Sky World package.

I was thinking about getting Sky+, so when they come to install it, do they use the same sky card or do you get a new one?

My Idea behind the question is, if they use the same card, is it possible to put the current sky box in another house with a dish and when I stay there I could bring the card with me and have the full package there also?

    Hi,
They use the same card...The engineer calls Sky to "tie" the Sky+ Box with the card....wich mean it can not be used with your old Digibox....But you can use for all free to air channels.
    Hope this help.

The card is only paired with one box. WHen you get Sky+, it'll be paired with the Sky+ box.

You could stick it in your old box, but Premium channels (Sky Sports, Sky Movies, etc) will give a "wrong card" on screen message.

Power off your Sky box, take out the card and see what channels you can view. Any channels you added in Other Channels will still be there, along with BBC's C4
